The Flying Deer Vertebra...
A Scratch Built - Odd-Roc - Sci-Fi Rocket
We did a hike yesterday and found a Mule Deer Vertebra.. and of course I thought.. hmm... model rocket?
Knocked out a simulation and it is not stable... but with a ring fin, sure it's stable. Upscaled it a bit to a BT-80H. Uses an off-center mounted 29mm Motor and Rear Eject Spool and an 18" Parachute.
The trick will be forming the BT-80H into the ob-round shape, and getting the BT-50H Tube Fin to fit the BT-80H. Should be an interesting build.
The OR Sim is a bit crude, but should be somewhat accurate.
