(BAR-49) Lakeroadster's Spinning Mini Spool
Figured I'd take a stab at making a mini spool... with a "TWIST".
Reading various threads on spools it seems they are stable under thrust... but then go wonky during coast.
So I figured I'd try to make a spool that spins and see if that gives it a straight and true flight to apogee.
I've got a small spool left over from some 300 lb Kevlar, so I'll use it.
Here's the Open Rocket Simulation. I used some 0.13" thick Basswood for the fins.

Here's the parts I'll be using. Cut the fins out of some home made
0.133 th. Basswood. They were then sanded, rounded over and a slot cut
and profiled to allow them to be canted.
I used some Gorilla Super Glue Gel XL to attach the fins. This is my
first time using the Gel. It's a bit thick for this tiny rocket, but I
think it'll be ok. We're really just trying to prove if spinning makes
this more stable.
