Scramjet Test Vehicle... A Circa 1967 Design
Chris Timm over at Ye Olde Rocketry Forum turned me on to this Scramjet
Vehicle. It was proposed to be developed by Marquardt, GASL and
Lockheed-California Co.
Their cover artwork looked much cooler than the actual proposal sketches, so I used it for the simulation.
Scramjet: 3-1/8" diameter nose cone, custom built motor covers
Aries I: BT-80H, 29mm rear eject, 30" parachute
This will be a single stage rocket. The entire "Scramjet" portion will be made from solid pine... and thus no nose ballast.
