Snoopy, The WWI Flying Ace - An Odd-Roc Scratch Build
Thought I'd take a crack at building a flying rocket that looks like Snoopy and his dog house. This would be Snoopy as the World War I flying ace, patrolling the skies.
The Dog House is built from 1/8" Basswood, and utilizes a figurine of Snoopy, complete with his googles and scarf.
Ordered the figurine, and assuming it's weight is accurate online, I plugged that into the Open Rocket Simulation. It's a pig... but, it's an odd-roc. The aero drag from the roof is also dramatic... but again, it's an odd-roc.
The Open Rocket Simulation isn't going to be accurate, but it's a starting point.
The body is based on BT-80... or maybe BT-300. I'll pick the one that works best once the figurine arrives.
Also features a large ring fin for stability.
