2024-07-08 SAND Rocket System
Back in 1963 Sandia Laboratories launched a series of rockets to test for radioactive and inert particles out of the atmosphere at altitudes of 100,00 to 230,000 feet.
The project was named SAND: Sampling Aerospace Nuclear Debris
It used an Honest John booster and a NIKE sustainer motor.
Here's a flying scale model rocket. It's 2 stage just like the real thing and utilizes 24mm black powder motors.
2024-07-04 USS Mud Wasp
Here's another kit bash of a Fliskit design. The Mudwasp is a MicroMax design, that was then offered in various upscales, all the way up to the "Monster Mudwasp".
This one starts with a BT/C-55 body, has reversed 1/4" plywood fins, (6) BT/C-50H tube fins, an Interceptor style bloated nose cone, all in a 29mm powered minimum diameter design.
